Muzaffarnagar | The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday registered an additional case against Brajesh Thakur, in a missing case of 11 women from a shelter home owned by him. Earlier the CBI had registered a case against Muzaffarpur shelter officers and employees where more than 30 minor girls were sexually assaulted.
CBI on July 29 registered a case against the officers and employees of the shelter home. The investigation agency arrested 11 employees of the shelter home and registered the case on the request of the Bihar Government and following the notification of the Central Government.
After constant pressure from the opposition, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had directed a CBI inquiry in the matter.
Earlier the Muzaffarpur’s Mahila Police Station had registered the case under Section 120(B) (criminal conspiracy), 376 (outraging the modesty of a woman), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 4, 6, 8, 10,12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO).
