Indian security forces gunned down 3 terrorists on Saturday in an encounter at Chattabal in Jammu and Kashmir. As per the latest information, CRPF soldiers killed 3 terrorists and recovered 3 AK rifles and ammunition after a gun battle today morning. Sources have informed that 2 CRPF personnel and 1 policeman got injured in an encounter, who are admitted to hospital for the treatment.
“3 terrorists have been killed, 3 security personnel have been injured. It was a clean operation, there has been no damage to the building. I thank the people of Srinagar for their cooperation,” Ravideep Sahi, IG CRPF.
The CRPF spokesperson Rajesh Yadav conveyed that an assistant commandant got injured during the encounter and has been shifted to 92 base hospital. The CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police acted swiftly and led the search operation on information from a source about the presence of militants and killed 3 terrorists.
“The search operation turned into an encounter after the hiding militants fired upon the search party of the security forces, who retaliated,” an official said.
As per sources, a civilian was also killed today after being hit by a vehicle. Residents of the area have alleged that the man was killed by the vehicle of CRPF but force officials termed the allegations baseless and false. The civilian was identified as Adil Ahmed Yadoo who was allegedly killed by the vehicle of force during the gun battle.
Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir Shesh Paul Vaid congratulated security personnel with a tweet saying “well-done boys” for killing 3 terrorists.
