Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Likely To Make A Statement on China, Jaya Bachchan’s Notice on Comments Against Film Industry

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh can make a statement in the Lok Sabha today on the issue of border dispute with China.

 

New Delhi | The proceedings of the Rajya Sabha began in the first shift on Tuesday, the second day of the monsoon session of Parliament. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan has given a zero-hour notice in the Rajya Sabha over the alleged plot to defame the film industry. She said that those earning a name in the film industry are now calling it a gutter. “I hope the government tells such people not to use such language,” Jaya Bachchan said.

Jaya Bachchan said that because of some people you cannot tarnish the image of the entire industry. “I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it. It’s embarrassing,” she said.

Defense Minister may give statement on China border dispute

On the other hand, Defense Minister Defense Minister Rajnath Singh can make a statement in the Lok Sabha today on the issue of border dispute with China. The opposition is also seeking a debate in this matter. Opposition parties will try to corner the government on the issues of dealing with China in Ladakh, the situation of Coronavirus pandemic in India, the deterioration of the economy and unemployment.

The proceedings of Rajya Sabha started from 9 o’clock, which will run till 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The Lok Sabha will start from 3 pm and function till 7 pm. On the first day of the session i.e. on Monday, the Rajya Sabha was in the second shift, while the Lok Sabha was in the first shift.

Business Advisory Committee meeting will be held in the afternoon

In the first meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of Parliament held on Sunday before the session started, other opposition parties, including Congress, demanded a debate on the issues of China and the economy. But Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla did not fix any time for this. BAC will have a meeting again later this afternoon. It will discuss the schedule of the first week of the monsoon session.
