Donald Trump Says India-China Border Tensions “Dangerous”, Offers To Help Resolve The Issue

During a White House Press Conference, Donald Trump said, “The border dispute between India and China has reached a very dangerous situation. China is increasing tensions along the border.”

 

Washington| US President Donald Trump has termed the India-China border dispute as dangerous. Blaming China for aggravating the tensions, Trump also offered to help resolve the stand-off between the two neighbouring countries.

During a press conference at the White House, the US President said, “The border dispute between India and China has reached a very dangerous situation. China is increasing tensions along the border. But, we want this matter resolved. I am willing to help in this. We are in touch with both countries. If we can do anything to resolve the matter then we are always ready for it.”

Replying to a question about Prime Minister Modi, Trump said, “Narendra Modi is my friend and a brilliant leader. They are doing excellent work even when conditions are difficult. Modi is not only a big leader but also a great person. Referring to the February India tour, Trump said – It was a very good tour. The people of India are very good.”

 

Trump also described Houston’s Howdy Modi program as excellent. He said, “We have got a lot of support from India and Prime Minister Modi. I am confident that people of Indian origin will vote for Trump in the election.”
