In view of the announcement of the farmers to stop the rail, 20 additional companies of the Railway Protection Special Forces (RPSF) have been deployed around the country.
Today is the 85th day of the farmers’ movement against agricultural laws. As part of the strategy to intensify the movement, farmers will stop the railway trains from 12 noon to 4 pm today. Indian Farmers Union spokesman Rakesh Tikait has said that arrangements have been made to ensure that children do not have problems during Rail Roko.
Railways deployed 20000 additional personnel
In view of the announcement of the farmers to stop the rail, 20 additional companies of the Railway Protection Special Forces (RPSF) have been deployed around the country. Most of them have been deployed in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. DG Arun Kumar of Railway Protection Force has appealed to the protesters to hold a peaceful demonstration and passengers traveling in the train should not face any problem.
Farmer leader said – not returning home before repeal of law
Farmers are insistent that the government withdraw all three agricultural laws. Bharatiya Kisan Union (Haryana) President Gurnam Singh Chanduni has once again stated that his organization is fighting for the interests of farmers and they will not return to their homes till the repeal of new agricultural laws. Chanduni said that through programs like Panchayat and Mahapanchayat across the country, people will be told that the central government is not of the common people but of corporates.
