India and Germany share same views to fight against terrorism: PM Modi

While addressing a joint press meet with German Chancellor Markel in Delhi, Modi stated that India and Germany share same thoughts and will fight against Terrorism

 

New Delhi| The German Chancellor Angela Markel is in India for a two-day visit for bilateral issues. PM Modi welcomed her and her delegation from Delhi Airport.

In his first press briefing during Merkel’s visit, PM Modi said, “In the last 15 years the Chancellor has played an important role in strengthening India-Germany relations.”

It was presumed Germany and India will be signing 20 agreements. Angela Merkel will co-chair the fifth IGC with Prime Minister Modi. She held talks with Modi on a host of bilateral issues and the talks will continue to do so in the evening as well where sources said will be accompanied by India’s President Ram Nath Kovind.

Germany and India have shared a bilateral trade agreement include climate change issues, sustainable development, education, and technology.

Sharing the experience and thoughts PM Modi said while addressing a joint press conference, “Germany and India to focus on enhancing cooperation in the areas of new and advanced technology, artificial intelligence, skills, education and cybersecurity”.

Modi further added Germany and India shares similar views and we strongly stand in fight against terrorism.

And Thank Germany for the support and hope to build a concrete relation.

German Chancellor shared her views stating, Indian students are more in numbers studying in Germany and incoming time we expect numbers to grow more.

She further added India and Germany are working hard towards sustainable development and climate protection.
