The Congress MLA had a fever for several days and had provided samples for COVID-19 testing before the meeting with Gujarat CM.
Ahmedabad| Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani called a meeting on Tuesday morning which was attended by a local Congress MLA, who tested positive for coronavirus in the evening, said a civic official.
Congress MLA Imran Khedawala tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday evening, said Deputy Municipal Commissioner Om Prakash Machra.
Imran Khedawala met Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, his deputy Nitin Patel and state minister Pradeepsinh Jadeja along with at least two other MLAs from his party, reported Ahmedabad Mirror.
After the meeting, these MLAs also addressed a press conference in Gandhinagar.
The legislator, who is getting treated, has reportedly had a fever for several days and had given samples for COVID-19 testing. However, since he was not under quarantine, it is unclear as to how many people were in touch with him.
