India Logs Highest Fresh Coronavirus Cases In The World, Uddhav Thackeray Mulls For 2nd Lockdown In State

The number of active coronavirus cases is also increasing continuously. After 138 days, the number of active cases has crossed 5 lakhs in the country

 

The second wave of coronavirus is intensifying in the country. In the last 24 hours, India has recorded the highest number of new cases in the world. 68,206 coronavirus cases were identified here on Sunday. This figure is the highest in the last 169 days. Earlier, on October 10 last year, 74,418 cases were reported. At the same time, 32,149 people recovered and 295 people lost their lives.

On the other hand, the number of active cases is also increasing continuously. After 138 days, the number of active cases has crossed 5 lakhs in the country. Currently, 5,18,767 people are being treated across the country. Earlier on November 9 last year, there were 5,04,873 active cases in the country.

 

1. 20 Crore people infected so far

So far, 1. 20 Crore people in the country have been affected by this epidemic. Of these, about 1.13 crore have been cured. 1.61 lakh patients have lost their lives. Currently, 5.18 lakh patients are undergoing treatment. These figures are taken from covid19india.org.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that people in the state are not following the instructions seriously. In a meeting with officers of the state, he said that second lockdown needs to be considered. As per reports, he told officials that If people continue to violate the rules, then be prepared for restrictions like lockdown.
