Two people have been found infected with Omicron in the country. The matter of concern is that the delta variant which killed thousands of people in the second wave, this virus is many times more dangerous than that. Health Ministry’s Joint Secretary Luv Agarwal has told that two Omicron cases have been reported in Karnataka in India. Both are infected men, whose age is 66 years and 46 years.
Doctor Ashok Seth of Fortis Hospital in Delhi has told that Omicron virus was first found in South Africa. It has a lot of mutations. When the virus changes its appearance, it may become more dangerous. People have to follow all the rules of Covid. Our country is fully prepared to fight it.
In view of the threat of Omicron, a new era of restrictions has started. Night curfew has been imposed in Dadra-Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu till December 31. In the absence of both doses of vaccine in public places like metro in Delhi, there is a preparation to ban travel. The Delhi government is preparing a proposal in this regard, although the central government is saying that there is no need to fear now, but the Covid protocols will have to be followed strictly.
