No Action Against Sachin Pilot and Rebel MLAs Till Tuesday, Rules Rajasthan HC Divisional Bench

Sachin Pilot’s counsel, in this case, is Mukul Rohatgi and Abhishek Manu Singhvi is appearing on behalf of the Rajasthan speaker.

 

Jaipur| The division bench of the Rajasthan High Court on Friday heard the petition of 19 MLAs, including Sachin Pilot. Harish Salve argued on behalf of Congress MLAs in front of the bench of Chief Justice Inderjit Mahanti and Justice Prakash Gupta. He said that no activity outside the Legislative Assembly can be considered a violation of the anti-defection act.

The court postponed the hearing till July 20, saying that the Assembly speaker should not take any action on the notice till 5 pm on Tuesday. It was previously believed that the speaker could soon pass judgment on disqualification. Because reply was sought from Congress MLAs till evening.
