PM Modi’s ‘New India’ will redeem former president Abdul Kalam’s ‘Vision 2020’, believes Jitendra Singh

New Delhi | Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of ‘New India’ will redeem Former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s ‘Vision 2020’.

While delivering the annual APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial lecture Singh said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s New India will redeem Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s Vision 2020.’Vision 2020′ was not only a numerical vision but actually a vision of ‘New India’ also envisaged by Prime Minister Modi.”

Jitendra Singh also stated that being associated with Kalam was learning and extremely inspiring experience. The Union Minister further said that former president’s public and private image had no contradiction. He also talked about the scientific temper of Kalam. “Kalam was one of those Presidents who added to the grace and prestige of Rashtrapati Bhawan,” added Singh.

During the event, Jitendra Singh also presented Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Awards to the bureaucrats for working in public interest.
