Varanasi: Congress General Secretary , Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while addressing the Kisan Nyay rally attacked the government and said that There are only two types of people are safe in this country today — BJP leaders who are in power and their billionaire friends.
“Only two types of people are safe in this country today — BJP leaders who are in power and their billionaire friends. Modi ji bought two aircraft for himself for Rs 16,000 crore last year. He sold the entire Air India of this country for just Rs 18,000 crore to his billionaire friends.”
She also further said that 600 farmers have died during the protests, “Farmers have been protesting for over 300 days, during which more than 600 farmers have died. They’re protesting because they know that their income, land and crops will go to billionaire friends of this government.”
She added, “PM Modi called the protesting farmers ‘Andolanjivi’ and terrorists. Yogi ji called them hooligans and tried to threaten them. The same minister [Ajay Misra] said that he would make the protesting farmers fall in line within two minutes.”
She said that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is defending the Union minister Ajay Mishra and Prime minister NArendra Modi didn’t visit the incident side, “
Last week, the son of Union Minister of State (Home) mowed down six farmers with his vehicle. Families of all the victims said they want justice but all of you have seen that the government is shielding the minister and his son.”
She added, “The CM is shielding the minister [Ajay Misra] from public forums. The PM came to Lucknow to see the performance of ‘Uttam Pradesh’ and Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav but couldn’t go to Lakhimpur Kheri to share the grief of the victims’ families.”
Priyanka ahead of the rally visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple. While visiting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Priyanka Gandhi said that the temple darshan has nothing to do with the Uttar Pradesh election, it is her faith.
