Ram Mandir Land Scam? SP, AAP, Congress Question How 2 Crores Worth of Land Was Turned Into 18 Crores

Senior Samajwadi Party leader and former minister Tej Narayan Pandey has accused Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust of corruption in land purchase.

 

As the construction of Ram Temple begins in Ayodhya, the trust overseeing the work has run into a major controversy. Questions have been raised on the land purchased by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Senior Samajwadi Party leader and former minister Tej Narayan Pandey has accused Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust of corruption in land purchase.

 

Alleging corruption in the land deal, he said that the land which was denominated for Rs 2 crore was signed within 10 minutes for Rs 18.50 crore. Presenting the documents in the entire case, Pandey has demanded a CBI inquiry. Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have also attacked the UP government regarding this matter. At the same time, the general secretary of the trust, Champat Rai has said that only after studying the whole matter, he will present his side on it.

Former minister Pawan Pandey told that this land is located in Bagh Bijaisi of Sadar Tehsil area, which has an area of тАЛтАЛ12 thousand 80 square meters. This land was sold in the name of a monk named Ravi Mohan Tiwari and Sultan Ansari. Exactly 10 minutes later, this land is registered in the name of the trust’s general secretary Champat Rai for Rs. 18.50 crores. The deed and registered agreement was done on March 18, 2021.

 

It is alleged that Anil Mishra, a member of the trust and Rishikesh Upadhyay, the mayor of the Municipal Corporation, are witnesses in the deed and the registered agreement. He has demanded an investigation into the transaction of Rs 17 crore through RTGS. The political atmosphere in UP has now heated up with the allegation of corruption.

 

Looting in the name of Ram, it should be investigated: Congress

Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput said that serious allegations are being made that land of Rs 2 crores is turning into Rs 18 crores in 5 minutes. “Isn’t it looting in the name of Ram? It should be seriously investigated,” he said. “The government should conduct a high-level inquiry into this, if this loot has happened, then those who are involved should be punished severely,” he said.

AAP said- CBI and ED should investigate the matter

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Sanjay Singh also made serious allegations of corruption against the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is building the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and demanded a CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation.

Sanjay Singh said that the general secretary of the trust, Champat Rai, with the help of Anil Mishra, a member of the organization, bought land worth Rs 2 crore for Rs 18 crore. “This is outright money laundering. The government should get it investigated by the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate,” Singh demanded.
