Sanjay Jain appointed as Additional Solicitor General of India in Supreme Court

New Delhi | President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday appointed senior advocate Sanjay Jain as the Additional Solicitor General of India in Supreme Court.

Sanjay Jain will work as the Additional Solicitor General of India for the Supreme Court of India with effect from the date of the assumption of charge of the office till 30th June 2020, or until further orders.

Earlier President Kovind also appointed KM Natarajan as the Additional Solicitor General of India. With the appointment of Sanjay Jain, the Central government now has seven Additional Solicitor Generals in Supreme Court.
