Mumbai| On Monday evening, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar here,
Following which, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said on Tuesday that the state government is āstrongā.
The two leaders met for about one-and-a-half hours late Monday evening, Raut said while rejecting speculations about the Thackeray-led governmentās stability.
However, the Sena Rajya Sabha MP did not reveal what happened in the meeting between the two leaders.
The meeting between Thackeray and Pawar took place after the NCP chief met state Governor B S Koshyari on Monday morning.
āThose doubting about the stability of this government are doing so out of their own grudge. This government is strong,” tweeted Raut.

On Monday morning, Pawar, accompanied by NCP MP Praful Patel, had met Koshyari at Raj Bhavan. The NCP had claimed that its supremo met the Governor on the latterās invitation. They added that no political matters were discussed between them.
Notably, this was Pawar’s first meeting with the Maharashtra Governor, who took charge in September 2019.
Senior BJP leader and former state CM Devendra Fadnavis complained to the governor about the āfailureā of the Thackeray government in managing the Covid-19 crisis.
