Republic TV Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami was named among 4 others in the chargesheet filed on Tuesday by the Mumbai Police.
Republic Network COO Priya Mukherjee, Shivendu Mulelkar, and Shiva Sundaram – have also been named as accused in the 1800-page second supplementary chargesheet, reported Live Law

The Mumbai Police under the then commissioner Parambir Singh claimed they busted a TRP manipulation racket following a probe initiated after a complaint by TV viewership measurement agency Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC). Several television news channels including Republic were accused of tampering with the TRPs by the Mumbai Police in October last year.
Rating agency Hansa Services Private Limited, a contractor of BARC, which functions under the ministry of information and broadcasting, and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police, alleging that some TV channels were manipulating their TRPs.

The other accused include Partho Dasgupta, the former chief executive officer of BARC, and
14 others.
