Yogi Adityanath Says Can’t Be At Funeral Of Father

A senior bureaucrat tweeted that CM Yogi Adityanath received the news of his father’s demise during a meeting on the COVID-19 crisis.

New Delhi| Today, over the death of his father this morning at the AIIMS in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief.

The CM Yogi will not attend it due to the lockdown in place to fight the further spread of the COVID-19.

CM Yogi Adityanath in a statement said he would not be able to attend the last rites of his father tomorrow because of the lockdown and his responsibilities in the battle against COVID-19.

Father of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Anand Singh Bisht died on Monday.

He was admitted to AIIMS Delhi after his health deteriorated on Sunday. According to reports, Bisht was suffering from kidney and liver ailments.

Adityanath’s father was put on a ventilator after his health condition worsened on Sunday. He had also undergone dialysis on Sunday, before being shifted to the ICU ward.
