AAP which has emerged as the main challenger in Gujarat to the twenty-seven-year-old reign of BJP is confident of a good show in the recently held assembly elections in the state. Is AAP overconfident about its victory?
New Delhi: The counting of votes for the Gujarat Assembly elections began on Thursday at 8 AM. The counting in Gujarat began at 37 centers in 33 districts.
Ahead of the poll results of Gujarat, Aam Adami Party (AAP), put up a poster outside their party office in Delhi that states, ‘Aam Adami Party ke Rashtriya Party Banane Par sabhi desh vasiyo ko badhai’. This means the party is congratulating the citizens for them escalating to the pedestal of a national party. Does this imply, AAP is overconfident about its victory in the state of Gujarat?
As of now, in Gujarat, BJP has taken a stark lead with 155 seats, Congress follows with 18 and AAP remains at a low of 6 seats.
AAP’s poster and their stance in Gujarat seem nowhere close to even a competition.
