According to an official, six students from Afghanistan and one from East Africa have been instructed to leave Gujarat University’s hostel for overstaying. This action follows weeks after some foreign students were assaulted for praying on the premises. Neerja Gupta, the vice-chancellor, confirmed the decision and stated that the individuals were ex-students residing in the hostel due to pending administrative matters.
