On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh government designated November 25 as a “no non-veg day” in commemoration of Sadhu TL Vaswani’s birth anniversary, a staunch advocate of a vegetarian lifestyle. All slaughterhouses and meat shops in U.P. have been instructed to shut down on Saturday.
