Watch: 94-Year-Old Bhagwani Devi Dagar Wins Internet With Her Dance After Winning Gold And 2 Bronze For India

Before her victory at the World Masters, Bhagwani Devi had won three gold medals at the Delhi State Athletics Championship in a 100m race, shot put, and javelin throw.

Following the footsteps of the famous Shooter Dadis Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, 94-year-old Bhagwani Devi Dagar also showed that age is just a number when she clinched the gold medal in the 100m sprint at the World Masters Athletics Championships held in Tampere.

“I am very happy…have made my country proud by winning medals in another country,” 94-year-old Bhagwani Devi Dagar on winning gold and 2 bronze for India at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Finland said.

Before her victory at the World Masters, Bhagwani Devi had won three gold medals at the Delhi State Athletics Championship in a 100m race, shot put, and javelin throw. Bhagwani won three gold medals at the National Masters Athletics in Chennai due to which she was able to qualify for the World Masters Athletics Championships.

The World Masters Athletics Championships is an event organized for athletes who are aged 35 years and older.

It was Scheduled from June 29 to July 10 in Finland.

Mumbai: The Election Commission, from Tuesday will start distributing the ballot paper and special pens as well as ballot boxes to mark the votes for the Presidential Elections  for the July 18 .As part of the two-day exercise, the poll material will be sent to state legislative assemblies where voting will take place. Besides legislative assemblies, voting will also take place in Parliament House.
The exercise is planned keeping the flight schedules in mind of various states.Elected MPs and elected MLAs — and not the nominated ones — form the electoral college which elects the president. MLCs are not entitled to vote. Delhi and Puducherry are the two union territories with legislative assemblies where MLAs will vote.

The NDA has nominated Droupadi Murmu as the presidential candidate while major non-BJP parties, including the Congress and the TMC, have named former Union minister Yashwant Sinha as the joint nominee for the presidential election.
