BJP should hold fast against its own party MLA accused in Unnao rape case: Mayawati

While all the women leaders in the nation thought it better to be tight-lipped on the issue of Unnao rape case, BSP supremo Mayawati, broke her silence and planted an attack on the BJP stating that instead of holding a day-long fast against the Parliament Logjam, the ruling party might as well hold a fast against its own party MLA, who is accused of raping a minor in Unnao.

Alleging the BJP party of making mockery of the complete process of fasting and she said that while fasts are a way for tortured people to strike against the arrogance of the government and the irresponsible behavior it exhibits, “BJP should also hold a fast against the Unnao rape accused MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and do so on the banks of the Ganga in Varanasi, which is the constituency of PM Modi. Despite POSCO and other serious charges against the MLA for raping a minor, he has not been arrested and BJP should apologise to the people for the jungle raj in the state”.

She further accused the party saying that the intent of the party of suppressing the case is quite clear, now that it has transferred the case to the CBI, the way it was done with the Vyapam scam case in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
