Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Sunday was seen back in action preparing for the upcoming general election, a day after losing the crucial Karnataka assembly floor test on Saturday.
The Karnataka BJP chief has also called for the meeting of all defeated candidates in Bengaluru on the coming Wednesday. In a close encounter around 10, BJP candidates lost the assembly election by a margin of just 2000 votes.
Addressing the media, Yeddyurappa informed the reporters that “All sitting MLAs and defeated candidates of BJP will attend the meeting where we will discuss what went wrong in the constituencies we lost and try to fix problems, if any, keeping 2019 Lok Sabha elections in mind.”
Yeddyurappa went to the state BJP office in Bengaluru and held talks with the city leaders about the Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Jayanagar polls to be conducted on May 28 and June 11, respectively.
During his emotional speech at the floor test, the BJP leader had vowed that he won’t sit at home but tour the state to prepare the party for 2019 elections.
