โ€œConcocted Storyโ€: Omar Abdullah Says Kashmir Files โ€˜Projects Many Liesโ€™

The Kashmir Files is a concocted story and โ€œmany lies have been projected in the movie, said Former J&K Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) working president Omar Abdullah.

Omar Abdullah, while talking to the media on the sidelines of a rally in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir, said that it wasnโ€™t clear whether the movie is a documentary or a film.

โ€œThe makers have claimed that the movie is based on reality. But the fact is that many lies have been projected in the film. The biggest lie is that there was an NC government. It was the Governorโ€™s rule in 1990 in J&K when the Kashmiri Pandits left. At the Centre, it was the BJP-backed government headed by VP Singh,โ€ the Abdullah scion said.

โ€œKashmiri Pandits are not the only ones who had to migrate or were killed. Muslims and Sikhs were also killed, they too had to migrate from Kashmir and havenโ€™t returned yet,โ€ he further added.

The NC tried and continues to play its part in bringing back the Kashmiri Pandits safely, Mr Abdullah said.

Reacting on the recent visit of BJP chief JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu, Mr Abdullah said that NC has been watching the developments keenly and would act accordingly.
