Digvijaya Singh questions BJP leaders’ claim over death toll in IAF airstrike

New Delhi | Days after demanding proof of the India Air Force’s air strike over terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh today raised question over the death toll of the terrorist.

In a series of tweets in Hindi, Digvijaya Singh asked, “Prime Minister some ministers of your government say 300 militants killed, BJP president says 250 are killed, Yogi Adityanath says 400 people were killed and your minister SS Ahluwalia says no one died. And you are silent about this issue. The country wants to know who is a liar in this.”

Referring Foreign media reports over the government’s credibility after the Airstrike in Balaokot region of Pakistan, the Congress leader asked,” After the Pulwama Accident, after the “Air Strike” done by our Air Force, there is a doubt in some foreign media which is also being questioned on the credibility of our Government of India.”

Demanding an answer from Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the death toll, Digvijaya Singh said,” Modi Ji the question is not politics or power, the question is of those sisters who lost their brother. The question is of that mother whose sons got martyred, and the question is of those women who has lost her husband. When will you answer their questions?

Earlier the Rajya Sabha MP demanding proof of the Balakot airstrike said,” Any developments that takes place in the open space, are revealed through satellite technology. So, the way the US government presented evidence against Osama bin Laden, the evidence should also be given by the Indian government about Pakistan-based terrorist bases.”
