Hours after putting up the notice, the CBI team showed up outside P Chidambaram’s Jorbagh residence once again in the morning.
New Delhi| The troubles for senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram seems to have increased. Since the Delhi High Court denied him interim bail on Tuesday, he faced imminent arrest. On Tuesday evening a team of CBI reached his residence at 6.30PM. However, he was not present at his house. Ten minutes later, the team left the premises.
An hour after that, a team of Enforcement Directorate visited his residence at around 7.30PM. However, Chidambaram has since gone incommunicado. Reportedly, his mobile phone is also switched off and he is untraceable.

Lat at night, the CBI team posted a notice on a wall outside P Chidambaram’s house. The notice asked him to appear before the probe team within two hours of receiving the summon. However, his lawyer Arshdeep Khurana responded that the notice fails to mention the provision of law under which the team is asking him to appear within 2 hours. He further stated that his client is merely exercising his lawful rights. He also asked the CBI team to wait till the Supreme Court hearing of his special petition gets over.
CBI reaches Chidambaram’s Residence once again
Hours after putting up the notice, the CBI team showed up outside P Chidambaram’s Jorbagh residence once again in the morning. This is the third time since Tuesday that the agency is visiting his residence. The team reached the spot at around 8.10 AM. However, after waiting for almost half an hour it returned.
Supreme Court is the last hope
Meanwhile, The congress leader has now moved to Supreme Court where he will mention his appeal at 10.30 AM in the morning.
