The ED has also now issued a lookout notice against Chidambaram. Both the agencies seem to have been tightening their grip around the former Finance Minister.
New Delhi| After the Delhi High Court denied him anticipatory bail, the troubles for Former Union Minister P Chidambaram have increased. On Tuesday evening, CBI arrived at his residence, however, he was not present there. Soon, after a team of Enforcement Directorate too reached his residence.
Since then, Chidambaram has gone incommunicado. Reportedly, his mobile phone is also switched off and he is untraceable. Late in the night yesterday, the CBI team had posted a notice in front of his residence asking him to appear before it within 2 hours. It also visited his residence for the third time in the morning. However, he is still missing.
On the other hand, the Enforcement Directorate has also now issued a lookout notice against Chidambaram. Both the agencies seem to have been tightening their grip around the former Finance Minister.
Meanwhile, Chidambaram’s last hope, the Supreme Court has also not granted him immediate relief. The Special Leave petition filed by him will be heard by CJI Ranjan Gogoi post-lunch hours.
