Jharkhand ABVP leader’s involvement in CBSE paper leak raises eyebrows

The police also revealed that Satish Pandey is district coordinator of ABVP. Reportedly, he also ran a coaching centre in the locality.

As the lakhs of CBSE students who appeared for the Class 10th and Class 12th have been going through a tough time after the paper leak, it has emerged that an ABVP leader was allegedly involved in the CBSE paper leak issue. Reportedly, Chatra (Jharkhand) district police have arrested 12 students in connection with the CBSE Mathematics and Economics paper leak. The CBSE then ordered re-examination. However, it received a lot of flak from the parents and students for poor handling of the examinations.

According to the reports, the 12 people arrested by the Jharkhand police also include Satish Pandey who is an ABVP leader-student wing of BJP. Chatra district SP Akhilesh Variar talking to media said that the paper was leaked in Patna and reached the students in Chatra through Whatsapp. The arrested students include nine minors who have now been sent to a remand home.

The police also revealed that Satish Pandey is district coordinator of ABVP. Some images have also surfaced on the internet which shows Satish taking part in Chalo Kerala rally of BJP supported by ABVP. Reportedly, he also ran a coaching centre in the locality. He allegedly took money from the student in exchange for leaked question paper.

ABVP however, hasn’t yet made a statement in the matter. But this surely raises many questions as to how did a person running a coaching centre got his hands on the exam papers? Weren’t the necessary precautions taken by the CBSE board?

Meanwhile, the opposition Congress has posted the picture of Satish on its Twitter handle slamming the ruling BJP for its incompetence in handling the examinations.
