Mumbai | Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday took a dig at the Narendra Modi led Union government over the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Speaking at the event in Mumbai the Shiv Sena chief compared the construction of Ram Temple with the electoral problem of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) of crediting 15 lakh to the bank accounts of Indians. He asked, “Just like Rs 15 lakh in everyoneâs account,is Ram Mandir also a jumla?” When we’re taking up this issue, we aim to ensure that Ram Mandir is actually built,” added Uddhav Thackeray. The Shiv Sena also alleged that the issue of Ram Mandhir comes up only during the elections and once elections are over it is forgotten.”

Earlier on Monday ahead of his visit to Ayodhya Uddhav Thackeray called for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya before the formation of government in 2019. He also coined the new slogan saying that every Hindu has only one demand, implying that Hindus in the country want the Ram Temple first then they will decide about the government.
The Shiv Sena chief on the occasion of the annual Dusshera Rally in Mumbai had announced his visit to Ayodhya on 25 November. Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP he said, âEither build the Ram temple at Ayodhya or declare it is a âjumlaâ, I will go there on 25 November.â Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on 29 October adjourned the hearing of the decade-old Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute till January 2019.
