Navneet Rana has written in her letter that Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant threatened her in the Parliament lobby after she raised Sachin Vaze issue in Lok sabha on Monday.
New Delhi| Independent MP from Amravati Navneet Ravi Rana, who took up the case of Sachin Vaze in Parliament on Monday, has accused Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant of bullying. She has complained about the matter in a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. However, the speaker is still in the hospital due to Coronavirus Infection. Navneet has written in a letter to the speaker that after taking up the case of Sachin Vaze in Parliament, Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant threatened her and said, “I will see how you move around in Maharashtra. We will put you in jail too.”
Navneet Rana has written in her letter, “Questions were being raised on the Thackeray government about the Mansukh Hiren murder case in Maharashtra, the letter of Sachin Vaze and the former police commissioner. I raised those questions in Parliament. For this reason Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant threatened me in the Parliament lobby. In the past, I have been threatened with acid attack on the face and death on the letter head of the Shiv Sena. Navneet has demanded police action in this case.”
Arvind Sawant said – Shiv Sena does not threaten women
On Navneet Rana’s allegations, MP from Mumbai South Arvind Sawant said that it is a lie. He said Shiv Sena party leaders do not threaten women.
He said, “You watch her video clip, whenever she names Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, look at her body language, she keeps talking abominably. However, we never spoke. She is already talking like this. The same thing happened today. Why should I threaten her? This (allegation) is not right.”
