Lord Ram belongs to whole world not just Hindus: Farooq Abdullah

New Delhi | Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Friday responding Ayodhya title dispute said that the issue should be sorted out on tables between people and not to be dragged in to court.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Abdullah believed that the the issue can be resolved through dailouge. He said,” Ayodhya issue should be discussed and sorted out across the table between people. Why to drag the issue to the Court? I am sure it can be resolved through dialogue.” Taking a dig at BJP and Shiv Sena on the politics over Ram Temple, the National Conference leader said,” Lord Ram belongs to the whole world, not just Hindus.”

The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the hearing till January 10 on the Constitution of a bench to hear Ayodhya-RamJanmaboomi dispute. The Supreme Court said that an appropriate bench constituted by it will pass an order on January 10 for fixing the date of hearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute title case at Ayodhya.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice S K Kaul said,” Further orders will be passed by an appropriate bench on January 10 for fixing the date of hearing the matter.” The Supreme Court has also dismissed a PIL seeking to hear the Ayodhya matter on urgent and day to day basis. The PIL was filed by an advocate Harinath Ram in November 2018.
