Madhya Pradesh government behind Bhaiyyuji Maharaj’s suicide, alleges Digvijay singh

Bhopal | Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Wednesday blamed the Shivraj Singh Chauhan led Madhya Pradesh government for the death of Spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj.

Digvijay Singh claimed that “He (Bhayyuji Maharaj) was worried about illegal mining in the Narmada by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government and was offered the post of minister to shut his mouth…he rejected the offer and had told me about it on call.”

Bhayyuji Maharaj who shot himself on Tuesday evening was offered ‘Minister of State’ status in the Shivraj Singh Chauhan cabinet along with 5 other saints. He was invited along with Computer Baba, Narmadanand Maharaj, Hariharanand Maharaj, Pandit Yogendra Mahant and Bhayyuiji Maharaj to be part of a committee for the conservation of the Narmada River.

Spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj who committed suicide on Tuesday in his suicide note wrote that he was “depressed”, according to the police. In his two line suicide note, the Spiritual leader wrote “Somebody should be there to handle duties of family. I am leaving to much stressed out, fed up.” informed Police.
