Even though the central government is declaring the agreement with China on Pangong Lake as India’s victory, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on the government. Rahul Gandhi asked why the government is not speaking a word about the intrusion of China and why India had to retreat from our own land. Rahul Gandhi said that the victory in this agreement was not ours but that of China and our army has retreated. Not only this, he called PM Modi a coward, and asked why he is afraid of standing up to China. Gandhi called it ‘insulting the sacrifice of our soldiers’.
Rahul Gandhi said, “Yesterday, the Defense Minister made a statement about Eastern Ladakh. Now our troops will be stationed at Finger 3 in Pangong Lake. Earlier our soldiers were stationed on Finger 4 and that is our land. Now why have we moved from Finger 4 to Finger 3? Why has Prime Minister Narendra Modi given the land of our country to China?”

Commenting on the statements made by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi said that he has not spoken about the very important Depsang area from a strategic point of view. He said that China had infiltrated the area and there was no talk from the government about it.
On Thursday, Rajnath Singh said in Parliament that the government is committed to protecting every land of India. Rajnath Singh said that the disengagement process has started on the northern part of Pangong Lake and a meeting of senior commander level officers will take place 48 hours after the tension between the two countries ends. Rajnath Singh said that this meeting will try to resolve other issues, due to which there is a situation of tension between the two countries.
