Kolkata| West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee has targeted the BJP once again. Mamta has said that BJP’s divisive politics will not work. She also cautioned the people of the state to avoid it. She said that Bengal is known for hospitality and people from different religions live in harmony while staying together.
In a puja program, Mamata Banerjee targeted the BJP and said, “Everyone is welcome in our state, but don’t come here and do politics of division. It is not going to work here.” Mamata said that Bengal has been known for political harmony for years.

Do not spoil this atmosphere by divisive politics here, Mamata Banerjee said. Mamta’s statement comes after the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah in which Shah said that the people of the state are being misled about NRC.
Shah said that he assures all Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jain refugees that no one will have to leave the country. After the Citizenship Amendment Bill is passed, they will gain citizenship and all rights to India.
