Problem of Naxalism can’t be solve instantly in Chhattisgarh: CM designate Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur | Chhattisgarh Chief Minister designate Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said that the problem of Naxalism in the state is serious and no one can solve it instantly.

Speaking to media after the announcement of his Chief Ministership, Baghel said that the Naxalites have a very strong hold in Chhattisgarh and the problem of Naxalism is a very serious problem. Nobody can solve it instantly”. “We will be successful in eliminating them if firm steps are taken with the support of the people in the naxal-affected areas,” he added. When asked about the appointment of cabinet and Deputy CM, Baghel said,” For appointment of Deputy CM and Cabinet, decision to be taken after I take oath tomorrow.”

Earlier Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress observer for Chhattisgarh informed that the oath ceremony of Baghel will be held in Raipur on December 17 while the decision on rest of the cabinet will be taken later.

Earlier the Congress party on Twitter announced the appointment of Bhupesh Baghel as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh after the Congress party defeated BJP in the assembly election after 15 years. In a historic turnaround, the Congress party won 68 seats in the 90 seats Chhattisgarh assembly restricting the Raman Singh led BJP to just 15 seats.
