Pulwama martyr’s family to attend PM Modi’s oath ceremony

New Delhi | Mamata Biswas, mother of Pulwama martyr Sudip Biswas will be attending the oath ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today.

“We have been invited to attend the event. Despite being in sorrow we have come here”, Mamata Biswas told news agency ANI.

Sudip Biswas was one of the 40 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the tragic attack. Sudip’s father was eager to attend, hower his health did not permit it. They live in Nadia in West Bengal.

It is not known whether the invitation is sent to the family members of other CRPF too.

On February 14 2019, a convoy of CRPF personnel was attacked, martyring 40 jawans in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. India retaliated to the attack in the form of Balakot Air Strikes on February 26, where the government claimed they killed more than 300 JeM terrorists in the camp.
