#Watch: Mamata Banerjee turns “Chaiwali” for locals of Duttapur

New Delhi| We have often heard Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalling his childhood days. He also mentions how he used to serve tea at the railway station. His Chaiwallah to Prime Minister journey is not less than an inspirational tale for many. Seems like West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken a leaf from his playbook.

Recently, Mamata Banerjee was on her campaign trail in West Bengal’s Digha where she turned a “Chaiwali” for the locals. She stopped at a roadside tea stall and prepared the tea. She also served it to the locals. The video has now gone viral on social media.

The video clip shows Mamata Banerjee preparing the tea, pouring it in a mug and then serving it to the locals standing by. At the beginning of the video, she is also seen talking to a child and offering him snacks from the nearby shop.

Sharing the video on twitter, Mamata Banerjee said, “Sometimes the little joys in life can make us happy. Making and sharing some nice tea (cha/chai) is one of them.”
