“Putin’s Actions Are A Sign Of Rising Fascism That Sparked World War II”: Harmony Foundation

More than 7,000 civilians were killed, eight million people fled their homes, and an inflation spiral the likes of which the world has not seen in a long time — this, in nutshell, has been the story of the 12 months of war between Russia and Ukraine.

“As the international community struggles to come to terms with the overwhelming devastating earthquake which ravaged Turkey and Syria, Putin the Russian President yet again escalates the war with Ukraine which complicates the task of addressing the humanitarian crisis caused by the natural disaster,” said Dr. Abraham Mathai, Chairman, Harmony Foundation.

“Earthquake is a natural disaster that can’t be prognosticated and averted yet on the other end of the spectrum, war is avoidable and preventable at the same time.” Dr. Mathai added.

“The megalomaniac and anarchic Putin deserves severe chastisement and condemnation for starting war unnecessarily, by deliberately and intentionally violating international convention and protocols.”

“With the conclusion of the April 1945 conference in San Francisco which ushered in the United Nations, international peace and security was expected to be the order of the day in the new dispensation.  The world today doesn’t need demagogues and anarchists like Hitler, Mussolini, Sadaam Hussein, etc at the helm of affairs.” Dr. Mathai said.

“Putin is simply trying to turn the clock back to the rise of fascism which sparked world war II.  It’s time the international community harnessed its full power to muzzle the warmonger Putin for plunging humanity into chaos and conflict which is out rightly avoidable through servant leadership mandated by public support through free and fair elections.”

“The masses globally should be made aware that the ascent to the position of leadership is to serve and not to control and overlord with absolute despotism.” The Former Vice Chairman, Minorities Commission said.

Dr. Mathai concluded his statement: “When control takes priority over serving autocratic despots like Putin become intoxicated with power and the man-made avoidable tragedy in Ukraine is a result of the same.  Political leaders across the world should realize that servant leadership is the only solution and the need of the hour that will sustain order and stability on this planet on a long-term basis”.
