To fight the pandemic, India went into early lockdown. Today marks. 52nd day of the lockdown In the country. for more than 50 days hardly any economic activities are happening in any part of the country. And already the devastating results of the lockdown are being seen everywhere around us.
The crisis of migrant workers has deepened and so has an economic problem and this has been captured by the CMIE, Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy in their latest study. It says that if the lockdown is extended in the country even for a week, then one third of Indian population will not have enough resources to sustain themselves. #CMIE #IndiaLockdown #MigrantCrisis
