Tom Vadakkan joins BJP | Can a ticket change ideology?

After serving the party for over 2 decades, senior leader Tom Vadakkan has finally said Vanakkam to the Congress party. He joined the Congress in the late 1980s, quitting a corporate job to become a media consultant for Rajiv Gandhi. But the party spokesperson today joined BJP in the presence of Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. He also met BJP President Amit Shah. Vadakkan said that Congress questioned the integrity of the armed forces which hurt him deeply. He said that Congress’s reaction to Pulwama attack was precisely the reason why he left the party. Attacking party chief Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, Vadakkan said he gave the party two decades of his life but it has now resorted to a practice of “use and throw”.
