In Bihar Cabinet,12th Fail Gets Finance Ministry, Recruitment Scam Accused Given Education Department

Patna| In Bihar, the portfolios of ministers of the cabinet have been divided in the first meeting of the cabinet headed by Nitish Kumar. The Chief Minister has kept with him the Home ministry, General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Monitoring and Election Department, all the departments which have not been allotted to anyone. Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad has been given the responsibility of Finance, Commercial Tax, Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Disaster Management, Information Technology and City Development. In the previous government, the finance department was with Sushil Kumar Modi, who has not got a place in the Nitish government this time.

According to the statement of the Governor’s Secretariat, Governor Fagu Chauhan, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, allotted the work of the departments in consultation with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Deputy CM Tarkishore has been given the responsibility of 6 departments. It is worth noting that Tarkishore Prasad has become a minister for the first time and has been given important ministries like Finance, Commerce, Environment, Forest and Climate, Information Technology, Disaster Management, Urban Development and Housing Department. However, questions are raised on Tarkishore Prasad’s educational qualification who has only studied till 12th.

In the entire assembly elections, the leaders of the NDA camp continued to question the educational qualifications of CM face of the Grand Alliance, Tejashwi Yadav. Now 12th pass, Tarkishore Prasad was given important portfolios like finance, commerce. RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari asked what has happened to those who questioned Tejashwi Yadav since such an important ministry has been given to a less-educated leader who became a minister for the first time.

Mevalal Chaudhary, who was made the education minister in Nitish’s cabinet, has also surrounded with controversies. Mevalal Chaudhary became a JDU MLA for the first time in 2015 while he was serving as a teacher till earlier. In 2012, assistant professor and junior scientists were reinstated at Sabour Agricultural University as their vice-chancellor, it is said that the appointment was rigged. In the appointment of assistant professors and other posts in Sabour Agricultural University, the then Vice-Chancellor Mevalal was accused of giving jobs to 18 in Bihar and 87 in other states. A case of recruitment scam at the Agricultural University was registered in Sabour police station in 2017. However, he got anticipatory bail from the court in this case and till now a charge sheet has not been filed against him in the court.
