Patna| In Bihar, the portfolios of ministers of the cabinet have been divided in the first meeting of the cabinet headed by Nitish Kumar. The Chief Minister has kept with him the Home ministry, General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Monitoring and Election Department, all the departments which have not been allotted to anyone. Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad has been given the responsibility of Finance, Commercial Tax, Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Disaster Management, Information Technology and City Development. In the previous government, the finance department was with Sushil Kumar Modi, who has not got a place in the Nitish government this time.
According to the statement of the Governor’s Secretariat, Governor Fagu Chauhan, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, allotted the work of the departments in consultation with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
