Devendra Fadnavis To Take Oath As Maharashtra CM Tomorrow

After a wait of more than 10 days, Maharashtra finally got the name of its new CM. Devendra Fadnavis it is. Proving every speculation wrong, Fadnavis is all set to become the CM for the third time after the core committee team of the Bharatiya Janata Party approved his name as the BJP legislature party leader.

The meeting took place at the Maharashtra state assembly.
Central observers FM Nirmala Sitharman and Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani were also present.

For Maharashtra, the wait was 10 days, but for Fadnavis, the wait was 5 years.
The Mei Punah yein slogan which translates to I will be back is now close to completion.

According to BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar, the Mahayuti partners will meet Governor CP Radhakrishnan at 3.30 pm to stake a claim to form a government in the state.

The 54-year-old CM-designate is all set to take oath on Thursday at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan in the presence of PM Modi at 5:30 pm.

According to reports, Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde and NCP chief Ajit Pawar are likely to take oath as DCMs.

It is noteworthy that according to sources, a faction in the Shinde Sena urged him to take the DCM post only if the party gets the Home Portfolio. Fadnavis has thanked his allies for their support.

Who will get what portfolio is yet to be known. However, the BJP would likely keep the Home and revenue Portfolio with themselves.
