12 States Recorded 682 Cases Of JN.1 Till Jan 6: Report

As of January 6, a total of 682 cases of the JN.1 COVID-19 sub-variant have been reported across 12 states in India. The highest number of cases were reported in Karnataka (199), followed by Kerala (148), Maharashtra (139), Goa (47), Gujarat (36), Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan (30 each), Tamil Nadu (26), New Delhi (21), Odisha (3), Telangana (2), and Haryana (1).

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on Monday morning at the premises of Karnataka Congress MLA KY Nanjegowda and associated entities as part of a money laundering investigation. The 61-year-old legislator represents the Malur assembly seat in Kolar district. The raids cover locations in Malur and Kolar under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
