Aditya-L1 To Enter Halo Orbit Today

India’s space agency, ISRO, is nearing a significant milestone with its solar mission, Aditya-L1, set to enter a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrange Point 1 (L1). This strategic move will position the spacecraft 1.5 million kilometres from Earth, ensuring an uninterrupted view of the Sun. Launched on September 2, 2023, aboard PSLV-C57, Aditya-L1’s journey involved intricate orbital manoeuvres and a 110-day transit, culminating in its imminent insertion into the halo orbit.
