New Delhi: Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is notorious for causing a sensation with his tweets, and he did it again today with a statement about dying under “strange circumstances.”
“If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya,” tweeted Mr Musk, about a week after he announced his decision to buy micro-blogging site Twitter for $44 Billion.
Mr Musk had previously published a message that appeared to be a correspondence in which he stated that he is “supplying the fascist forces in Ukraine with military communication equipment.” “And for this, Elon, no matter how much you play the fool, you will be held accountable like an adult,” the post continues.
According to the letter, the equipment was given to Ukraine by the Pentagon, the US Department of Defense’s headquarters.
The two posts aroused debate about whether Tesla CEO Elon Musk is experiencing Russian threats for assisting Ukraine during the conflict.
After a minister from the war-torn country reached out, Mr Musk’s company SpaceX’s Starlink satellite broadband service was activated in Ukraine in February.
The tweet about a strange death drew a wide range of comments, from jokes to caution to solidarity.
Some users speculated that Mr Musk was inebriated, while others concluded that it is the high taxes that are upsetting him, while still others stated that he must live in order to bring about “change.”
Mr Musk has been making headlines for the past few months, criticizing Twitter for the narrowing space for free speech, then opting out of joining its board at the last minute, and then revealing his company’s decision to buy it for a staggering sum.
Following the announcement, he hinted some radical ideas for the microblogging service, such as charging commercial and government users.
