Though Stephen Hawking’s physical mobility was restricted to the wheelchair, his mind was always curious about secrets of the Universe.
The revered British scientist Stephen Hawking died at the age of 76 years on Wednesday, a family spokesperson informed. Stephen Hawking came across as a source of motivation as his success story of establishing his mental genius by overcoming his physical disability inspired many.

Remembering Stephen Hawking, a renowned physicist and ambassador of science. His theories unlocked a universe of possibilities that we & the world are exploring. May you keep flying like superman in microgravity, as you said to astronauts on @Space_Station in 2014 pic.twitter.com/FeR4fd2zZ5

Born on 8 January 1942, Hawking was an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge. He collaborated with Roger Penrose to work on gravitational singularity theorems to examine the General relativity and radiation from the black holes which are often called Hawking radiation. Hawking was the first-ever scientist to put forth a cosmology theory using the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. He was a vigorous supporter of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics.
Hawking had a rare form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) that paralysed him over the decades. However, inside the body that was slowly becoming ineffective was a genius mind. Though his physical mobility was restricted to the wheelchair he used, his mind was always curious about secrets of the Universe.
It was “A Brief History of Time”, a book written by him in 1988 which became a bestseller across the world. His intellectual was even compared with the geniuses of Albert Einstein and Issac Newton.
Hawking’s children, Lucy, Robert, and Tim said, “We are deeply saddened that our beloved father passed away today.”
