New Delhi: Ilhan Omar, a US congresswoman, has voiced severe concerns about President Joe Biden’s administration’s handling of India. Omar queries why the Biden administration has been hesitant to condemn the Indian government on human rights in a video she released on Twitter.
On Thursday, the legislator shared a video of herself interrogating Biden’s deputy secretary of state, Wendy Sherman. Wendy Sherman, Biden’s deputy secretary of state, responds to her questions by saying that the government must stand up for all religions, ethnicities, and races.

‘Why has the Biden Administration been so unwilling to criticise Modi’s administration on human rights?’ Omar said on Twitter alongside the video. ‘What does Modi need to do to India’s Muslim community before we stop considering them a peace partner?’ she continued. These are the questions the Administration must address, she noted.
