Varanasi | Congress candidate from Varanasi Ajay Rai today taking a dig at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that every work in Varanasi is temporary.
Speaking to media after casting his vote, Rai said,” Work is being carried out in Varanasi on a temporary basis, nothing is permanent.”

Ajay Rai who faced a defeat against PM Modi in the 2014 general election is against contesting against him from the same Varanasi seat. The Congress party was likely to contest Priyanka Gandhi but later nominated Ajay Rai against PM Modi.
The seat of Varanasi has a triangular contest with PM Modi contesting against Samajwadi Party’s Shalini Yadav and Congress’ Ajay Rai.
