On Monday, a Thai court acquitted former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, currently in exile, of charges related to mismanaging funds for a government project in 2013. Last year, he returned home after over ten years in self-imposed exile, spending six months detained in a hospital before receiving clemency due to his age and poor health.
