Maha Kumbh Stampede: Akhilesh Yadav Says ‘UP Government Hiding Exact Death Toll’

SP chief and MP Akhilesh Yadav accused the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister government of hiding the number of deaths in the Maha Kumbh stampede.

While talking to the media today outside of the Parliament ahead of the Budget Session, Akhilesh Yadav slammed Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath’s government for covering up the information of the tragedy, which occurred on the auspicious day of  Mauni Amavasy.

Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav said, “The UP government and the Chief Minister have also failed morally and politically. The government is hiding the death numbers so that they don’t have to provide compensation. The government just wants to divert public attention. There is no conspiracy; it is the government’s failure. Even saints say that Yogi (Adityanath) is a liar.”
